Technology Research Corporation (TRC) has over thirty years of experience with the design, development, production and test of electrical products for use in the power generation field. TRC’s Engineering staff has been directly involved in the design, development and qualification of power electronics designed to monitor power quality and protect the integrity of power produced on all of the generator sets specified by the Project Manager’s Office for Mobile Electric Power (PMMEP) located at Fort Belvoir. Since 1981, TRC has been the primary designer of the electrical control and monitoring devices used within the DOD-PMMEP Mobile Electric Power, Tactical Quiet Generating Systems (TQG) and remains the only manufacturer qualified for use on the 3 KW through 200 KW TQG’s. TRC Military Operations Group has been instrumental with the design and development during the initial contract qualification phases, for the entire range of TQG Generating sets 5KW, 10KW, 15KW, 30KW, 60 KW, 100KW and 200KW’s.
All of TRC’s military designs have been tested to the requirements of Mil-Std-461 for Electromagnetic Interference, Mil-Std-810 for Environmental Conditions using Mil-Std-705 Test Methods, Mil-Hbk-633 Performance Sheets, Mil-Std-1332B power quality requirements for Tactical Power and Mil-DTL-53133 Detailed Performance Specifications for the 5 through 60kw Tactical Quiet Generator Sets.
TRC has a longstanding working relationship with key design Engineers throughout the government and program offices. Our reputation in designing low cost power generation control products is well known and our ability to produce high volumes of quality products on schedule in support of the United States Military has resulted in our being recognized as a leader in the industry.
